How this is measured
- Pool. The top 200 developers on the leaderboard by followers — a slice, not all of GitHub.
- Contributions. Public contribution history from 2021 onward; private-repo activity isn't in this aggregate.
- AI-era pace. The pool's average monthly contributions after the AI wave (late 2022) against before, as a multiplier — ×2 means twice the monthly pace.
- Archetypes. Each dev is bucketed by how much their monthly output changed — the same figure the leaderboard ranks by — with volume as the fallback; the bars are the pool's split.
- Markers. The landmark model and coding-tool releases, drawn on the same timeline.
- Freshness. Each dev's series is cached ~7 days; this page recomputes hourly.
